DIY Kitty Tuna Treats

I want to start this post by apologizing to my faithful readers, for missing a few days this week. With a big costume birthday party coming up, I’ve been focusing a lot of my time to creating and sewing Viking costumes for myself and my man. Now that I’m done the major parts of the costumes, I can return my focus to DIY’s for you lovely readers.

Today we look at cute furever pets, kitties, and tuna treats made just for them! I love my cat, Shadow, who runs across the house at the crack of a tuna can. He gobbles these treats right up and asks for more! Why not make your kitty yummy tuna treats too?

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup of Chicken Broth (120 mL)

2 Ounces of Plain Yogurt (60 g)

7 Ounce Can of Tuna Fish (1.2 kg)

1-2 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread, crumbled

Directions

Put the broth into a small bowl. Add the bread crumbs and yogurt – stir until all the liquid is absorbed. You can control the firmness or softness of the treats by removing or adding bread crumbs. Drain the water from the tuna and add only the tuna fish to the mixture. Stir until smooth.

Seal in a plastic container in the fridge for a couple hours, until the mixture is firm. Coat your hands with butter before shaping the mixture, to stop it from sticking to your hands. You can either cut these into squares or roll them into balls.

Shelf life: 1 week (keep in a sealed container in the fridge)

Come back tomorrow for another pet DIY for Healthy Kitty Treats.

Until next time,
